• Conducting criminal proceedings in the Session Courts and High Courts;

• Conducting appeals, applications and revisions in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court;

• Conducting trials and appeals of all public interest, high profile, complex and sensitive cases;

• Representing the Government of Malaysia and Attorney General in all civil proceedings, matters of public interest, religious, social or charitable trust and in petitions for admissions as advocates and solicitors pursuant to the Legal Profesion Act 1976 [Act 166];

• Processing applications for appointments as notaries public pursuant to the Notaries Public Act 1959 [Act 115] and applications for Special Admission Certificates and Certificates of Renewal under Part IIA of the Legal Profession Act 1976;

• Processing applications to register the prosecution authorization by the government agencies under subseksyen 376(3) and paragraph 377(b) Criminal Procedure Code [Akta 593] for appointment as Deputy Public Prosecutor and Prosecution Officer;

• Perusing investigation papers and giving advice and further instructions to all State Prosecution Department and enforcement agencies in relation to investigations, and criminal prosecution, to institute prosecutions and preparation of cases for trial and appeals.
